Odette was the Consul General and Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner for Austrade in San Francisco. She led the technology practice in North America, ran the Landing Pad, an accelerator program for seed- series B startups and managed a high performing team of investment and trade directors supporting foreign direct investment into Australia and Aussie startups into the US.

Odette project managed Australia House at APEC, SXSW and RSA, with diplomats, government ministers, Prime Ministers, C suite executives, founders and investors. At the intersection of government, startups and venture, Odette is able to bridge communication gaps and connect innovation ecosystems

Prior to Austrade Odette lead the financial services and technology teams for the British Department for International Trade in Sydney. Odette supported the initial work on the Australia - UK Free Trade Agreement and led many delegation between Australia and the UK.

As a lawyer Odette worked in the corporate M&A team at Gilbert + Tobin in Perth.

Odette obtained a Bachelor of Law (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts (double major Politics and History) from the University of Notre Dame Australia.
